About GDMonkey Stage Lighting Manufacturer
GDMonkey is a stage lighting manufacturer based in Guangdong Province, China. We design, engineer, and produce professional lighting fixtures — moving heads, LED pars, beam lights, laser effects, and DMX-controlled wash lights — for buyers who resell, distribute, or deploy them in commercial projects.
Our full company name is Guangdong Golden Monkey Technology Co., Ltd., and we've been running production since 2012.
Who We Are and What We Build
We're the factory, not a trading company repackaging someone else's product. Your engineering requests reach the people who actually cut the aluminum, mount the LEDs, and program the firmware.
Factory-Direct Access
Your engineering requests reach the people who actually cut the aluminum, mount the LEDs, and program the firmware. That shortens your development timeline and eliminates the margin layer a middleman would add to your landed cost.

Global Export Reach
We ship to buyers who resell, distribute, or deploy fixtures in commercial projects across:
OEM/ODM From 30 Units
We support OEM/ODM from as few as 30 units, so you can test a new SKU without committing to container-load minimums. Validate market demand with a small run before scaling production.
How We Got Here
A decade-plus trajectory from compact entertainment lighting to full-scale professional stage fixtures — built on electromechanical engineering fundamentals.
Compact Entertainment Lighting
We started with compact entertainment lighting — rotating disco effects, music-reactive party lights, mini projectors. Our background was actually in low-voltage motors and electromechanical assemblies, which meant we understood rotation mechanisms, heat dissipation in small enclosures, and long-cycle motor life from day one.
Motor heritage advantage: That electromechanical DNA still shows up in our gobo rotators and moving head pan/tilt mechanisms — smoother motion, fewer gear failures over 10,000-hour duty cycles.
Scaling Into Pro Stage Fixtures
As export orders grew and buyers asked for higher-spec fixtures, we expanded into professional stage lighting: beam lights, LED PARs, wash fixtures, and DMX-controlled effects.
We added SMT production lines for LED chip mounting, built a photometric testing lab, and scaled from a 10,000 m² facility to our current 16,700 m² site. The shift wasn't overnight — we upgraded in lockstep with actual order demand, which kept our capacity utilization healthy and our pricing competitive.
350,000 Units Per Year
6 dedicated production lines, 150 staff, photometric testing lab, and SMT lines for LED chip mounting. Exporting to 5 continents with OEM/ODM capability starting at 30-unit minimums.
16,700 m² of Production Floor — What's on It
Walk through the front gate and you'll see six production lines running in parallel. Four handle LED fixture assembly — SMT chip mounting, lens alignment, PCB soldering, housing assembly. One line runs moving head and beam light production, where the mechanical assemblies (pan/tilt motors, gobo wheels, color wheels) get built and calibrated. The sixth line handles final integration, firmware flashing, DMX addressing, and packaging.
Our SMT lines use automated pick-and-place for LED chip mounting. Placement accuracy sits at ±0.05mm, which matters for optical consistency — when you order 2,000 PAR lights, every unit produces the same beam angle and color temperature. Manual mounting drifts. Automated mounting doesn't.
Aluminum Housing & Thermal Engineering
The aluminum housing production runs through CNC machining and die-casting. We machine our own heatsink fins rather than buying generic extrusions, so thermal performance is tuned to each fixture's LED wattage and duty cycle. A 200W moving head generates serious heat — the heatsink geometry has to match the thermal load, not just look the part.
We went through three heatsink iterations on our 230W beam light before junction temperatures stayed below 85°C at sustained full output.

How We Verify Quality Before It Ships
These are table stakes for import into North America and Europe — you won't hit customs delays or compliance rejections on fixtures carrying our documentation. But certificates only confirm the system exists. Here's what the system actually does on your order:
Incoming Material Inspection
LED Chip Binning
LED chips get binned and tested for forward voltage and color consistency before they enter the SMT line. We reject bins with more than 3% deviation from the target CCT — that's how your batch of 1,000 wash lights comes out uniform instead of showing visible color shift across units.
Aluminum Stock Verification
Aluminum stock gets dimensional checks and hardness verification against the purchase spec.
In-Process Inspection
Optical Alignment
Verified after lens mounting — beam angle, hotspot centering, and color uniformity measured against the fixture's specification sheet.
PCB Inspection
PCB assemblies go through automated optical inspection (AOI) for solder joint quality before potting or conformal coating.
Moving Head Units
Measured for pan/tilt accuracy and speed consistency.
Final Inspection & Aging
48-Hour Aging Test
Every single unit — not a sample, every unit — runs a 48-hour aging test at full electrical load. This catches infant mortality failures (capacitor blowouts, LED driver faults, thermal throttling issues) before the fixture reaches your warehouse.
100% Functional Testing
After aging, 100% functional testing confirms DMX response, color mixing accuracy, dimming linearity, and mechanical operation. AQL sampling covers cosmetics, packaging, and labeling.
Why 48-Hour Aging Is Non-Negotiable
Stage lights run hot for hours — a fixture that works fine for 10 minutes but fails at hour 6 creates a warranty return that costs you far more than the unit price. We catch those failures here, not at your customer's venue.
Environmental Practices and Compliance
We hold ISO 14001 environmental management certification alongside our quality system. In practical terms: LED manufacturing generates electronic waste and chemical residues from soldering and conformal coating processes. Our facility runs closed-loop flux recovery on the wave soldering line, and all electronic scrap — reject PCBs, defective LED arrays, expired components — goes through certified e-waste recycling rather than landfill.
RoHS compliance is built into our bill of materials from procurement onward — lead-free solder, halogen-free PCB substrates, and restricted-substance declarations from all component suppliers. Powder coating on aluminum housings is zero-VOC. For your European buyers who increasingly require supplier ESG documentation, we can provide material compliance declarations and waste management records as part of your import file.
Worker safety covers electrical safety training for all production staff, ventilated soldering stations, and PPE requirements for CNC machining and die-casting operations. Nothing exotic — just the standard disciplines that keep a factory running incident-free.
